CHELSIE GRIEVE

INTRODUCTION

Hi, I’m Chelsie a qualified Dog Behaviourist and Trainer based in Tamworth.

Helping dogs and their owners build calm, confident partnerships has been at the heart of my work since 2013. I specialise in practical, real-world training that supports dogs where behaviour truly happens, in everyday life.

For me, training isn’t about quick fixes or rigid control. It’s about creating calm, predictable learning experiences where dogs feel safe, understood and supported, allowing real behavioural progress to happen.

My Background & Experience

I’ve been working with dogs since 2013, supporting puppies, adolescents, rescues and adult dogs of all temperaments and needs.

I am a Qualified Dog Behaviourist, holding a Level 3 PETbc Accredited Dog Behaviour Diploma awarded by the British College of Canine Studies, which I passed with Merit. My work combines extensive hands-on experience with evidence-based behavioural knowledge, allowing me to support both everyday training goals and more complex behaviour challenges.

With a strong foundation in behaviour, enrichment and real-world training, I go far beyond basic obedience. My experience allows me to recognise subtle signs of stress, over-arousal or uncertainty, and adapt training plans to suit the individual dog in front of me.

By combining calm guidance, clear structure and appropriate enrichment, I help dogs become more settled, confident and emotionally balanced - not just during sessions, but long after training ends.

My Approach

Every dog is different, and I believe training should reflect that.

My work is rooted in science-based, positive reinforcement methods, focusing on teaching dogs what to do rather than punishing mistakes. This builds trust, strengthens communication and supports long-term behavioural success.

I focus on:

• One-to-one personalised training

• Calm, pressure-free learning environments

• Clear structure and consistency

• Enrichment that supports natural behaviours

• Emotional wellbeing, not just obedience

I don’t rush dogs, overwhelm them, or push them beyond what feels manageable. Instead, I meet each dog where they are, offering guidance, reassurance and space when they need it.

This approach is especially valuable for dogs who are sensitive, reactive, anxious, adolescent, or simply benefit from thoughtful, tailored support.

Why This Works

I deliver structured training that fits real life.  One-to-one sessions available on weekday evenings and weekends, making professional support accessible for busy owners.

Flexible scheduling also allows me to provide focused, high-quality sessions where both dogs and owners can learn without pressure or rush.

Fun Fact

My interest in dogs started long before I ever worked with them. As a child, I was fascinated by wolves, which sparked a lifelong interest in canine behaviour. That curiosity eventually led me into working with dogs professionally, and it’s something that still shapes how I observe, understand and support the dogs I care for today.
