I was proud to work alongside the local council as the lead dog trainer for Tamworth’s Dog Friendly Trail, a community initiative designed to educate owners about the wonderful dog-friendly spaces and businesses available throughout Tamworth town.

The trail took place around the beautiful castle grounds, where owners and their dogs were guided through the event in a relaxed, welcoming environment focused on responsible ownership, community engagement, and enjoyable real-world experiences for dogs.

I was personally invited by the council to support and lead the trail, providing guidance to owners throughout, including:

• Dog-to-dog interaction advice
• Lead walking support
• Confidence building in busy environments
• Real-world training guidance
• General behaviour and training support

The event received fantastic feedback from attendees, with many owners expressing how valuable it was to have access to professional support during a real-life community event. There was also strong interest in seeing more dog-friendly events introduced across Tamworth in the future.
